There are lots of reasons to join the Dressage Association of Southern California (DASC). Most members are active competitors, but even if you are not (yet!), your membership dollars work for the entire dressage community here in Southern California to promote our sport and make it the best that it can be.
The Dressage Association of Southern California (DASC) promotes education through clinics, lectures, and competition through a wide variety of shows and awards programs, insurance for our events and charitable contributions to important organizations in our interest.
Your membership entitles you to participate in the DASC Championship Show, Year End Performance Awards & Breed Awards, educational activities and informational seminars. You will also enjoy our award-winning newsletter: “Collected Comments”.
The 2017 membership dues are as follows:
Adults: $60.00 annual
Junior/Young Riders (up to age 21): $40 annual
Horses: $10 annual (required, non-transferrable)
**NEW** Alternative Qualification/Out of Area Fee: $10 (optional)
By adding this fee to your horse’s registration, you can use scores from any USEF/USDF recognized show in Region 7 towards Championship Show qualification and Year End Awards. This program was designed to help DASC members who do not have enough DASC recognized shows within a reasonable distance, to participate in these DASC events. All DASC members are eligible to join this program. The fee goes with the horse, not the rider.
All horses and riders must be paid members at the time scores are earned in order to be eligible for Championships and Year End awards.
Additionally, if the owner and rider are different, BOTH must be members in order to be eligible for Breed specific awards.
