Welcome to the Developer Log. I will use this log as a place to keep you updated on the current and upcoming DASC website development.
Today I wanted to talk about the new site and some of the changes you will see. We have been working to get you a website that was easy to navigate that contains the information you need and want. This is a work in progress as you will see from reading this message.
We have been placing an emphasis on collecting all the information from the current and past DASC websites. Our other emphasis is to make this website a functional and valuable tool to help with your basic DASC needs: Membership, Show information, Show Results and Award tracking.
What's New?
1) Free Site Registration - With plans of adding some social networking tools to the site we have set up a Site Registration. This way when you login to the site you will be known by a name or handle you choose, not a DASC number. This process is free and required by all current DASC members. Once Registered, the site will try to automatically tie your DASC membership to your site registration by your email address. If your email address is not on file in the DASC membership database, or it has changed, we have set up a process to aid in this link-up.
2) Membership: While not in its final form, the membership system is now fully integrated with PayPal. This means that you can pay online and get approved immediately.
[For example: It's midnight, you have a show tomorrow, and you're not current with your DASC membership. No worries - do it online, pay by credit card via PayPal, and your covered. Your membership details are immediately updated and you can check them yourself. It all gets done while everyone else is sleeping. ]
We have also greatly simplified the online horse and rider membership renewal process. We think you will like it. Please let us know your thoughts.
3) More information: We have recovered all the past news and newsletter information and included them on the website in an easy-to-access location. Your show and event calendar looks like a regular wall calendar. (Hint: you can also use the sorting items at the top of the calendar display to see the items in a list format.)
The calendar, as well as the whole site is now searchable. We have tried to retrieve all the past forms and other information you might need. Please let us know if we have missed anything.
4) Online surveys: We have added the ability to conduct online surveys so that the DASC organization can make your DASC experience better. Your opinions are important and your voice needs to be heard!

1) Show Results:
Timeframe: in current development.
This will allow you see the show results similar to what is on the USEF website. You will also be able to see just your results in your MyDASC area.
2) DASC qualification:
Timeframe: completed after Show Results feature is done.
This will allow you to see DASC qualifiers as the season progresses. You will also have a section where you can see your qualification in your MyDASC area.
3) Current Awards status:
Timeframe: after the show results are in.
This will allow yo to see the current DASC award winners as the season progresses.
4) Sponsor Info:
Timeframe: in current development.
This will list out all the sponsors and have special sponsor helper forms.
